The City of Flagler Beach is served by a full-time professional staff on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide immediate response 365 days a year. There is no charge to residents for fire protection and emergency medical services. For emergencies call 911.
In 2014, the Flagler Beach Fire Department answered 1,230 calls for service.
The Mission of the Flagler Beach Fire Department (FBFD) is to minimize the loss of life and property resulting from fire, medical emergencies, and other disasters. The FBFD will achieve this through prevention, education, fire suppression, emergency medical services and emergency preparedness. The FBFD will accomplish its mission in the most cost effective manner with maximum utilization of all available resources, while never sacrificing the safety of our members.
We strive to bring the citizens and visitors of Flagler Beach the best fire protection and emergency medical services available. This is consistently accomplished through our pursuit of up to date education and training. We are confident that the many services we provide are nothing short of superior.
The Flagler Beach Fire Department serves a population of roughly 5,500 residents, has a primary response area of 21.1 square miles, and responds to an average of 1,200 calls per year.
